Half a century marked by commitment to health, innovation, quality and care for thousands of patients in Medellín and the country. To celebrate this date, we launched our commemorative video that summarizes in minutes everything it means to be Hematológico: a brand built with purpose and humanity.

Half a century of evolution
Since 1975, when we opened our doors in the Prado Centro neighborhood, we have grown together with our patients and allied physicians. In these 50 years, we have not only expanded in terms of locations -with milestones such as the transfer of our main headquarters to the Patio Bonito sector and the opening of the Viva Palmas location-but also in terms of services. In 2021 we took the step from being a clinical laboratory to becoming a specialized diagnostic medicine institution, with areas such as Pathology, Molecular Diagnostics and Genetics, and our Outpatient Medical Center.
Our commitment has always been clear: accurate, useful and timely results , with warm and personalized attention.
Innovating with purpose
During these years we have also been committed to sustainability, with our home sampling service in electric vehicles; to science, with the Célula Group (Category C research group, Minciencias 2024); for sports and preventive health, with Biumanour sports laboratory; and for the city, with spaces for academic and cultural events, such as the auditorium Losámbulos auditorium, and free intelligent parking services with Kings of Parking.
Our greatest pride: people
Hematológico is made up of a diverse and committed team: medical specialists, bacteriologists, assistants, administrative staff, scientists, software developers, care, maintenance, cafeteria and logistics personnel.

We are still here
Today we celebrate, but we also reaffirm a message: despite the challenges of the healthcare system, we remain steadfast with the same principles as always. We will continue to seek ways to care for those who choose us, and we will always be grateful that they allow us to be part of their life stories.
