Who are we?
For 17 years we have supported basic research and knowledge generation in different institutions in the city of Medellín.
In 2019, with the interest of migrating towards proprietary and collaborative research with an applied science approach, Grupo Célula was born.
In 2020, we formalized the provision of laboratory services for human clinical research under national and international Good Clinical Practice standards.
Our research group is fostered by the desire to establish a transversal work through the intelligent management of health information in its different areas of study, ranging from the macro (tissues) to the minimum (DNA), being the cell the point of convergence.
We are recognized by MinCiencias as a research, technological development or innovation group of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation - SNCTI, according to the last call (2021).
We are formed by an interdisciplinary team, oriented to seek solutions to the problems of daily work in diagnostic medicine and meet the needs of the company, our allies (clinical research centers, educational institutions, pharmaceutical and food industry, among others) and society.
We focus on applied research, proprietary or collaborative, in the lines of research:
- Molecular diagnostics
- Diagnostic medicine
- Data analytics.
All with application to the areas of Microbiology, Hematology, Pathology, Oncology, Endocrinology and Laboratory Medicine, among others.
Laboratory of clinical research centers.
We provide laboratory services for clinical research in humans under the standards of Good Clinical Practices, according to Resolution 2378 of June 27, 2008 of the Ministry of Social Protection of Colombia.
To this end, our laboratory, medical and scientific personnel are certified in good clinical practices by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), which is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
What are we aiming at?
- Generate and manage applied scientific research, development and innovation projects, brought to the current needs, that allow obtaining new products, processes and services, or improvements in the current ones, that facilitate life and allow the continuous improvement of medicine in favor of results.
- Generate and manage strategic alliances with clinical research centers, educational institutions and companies in the pharmaceutical and food industry, through the execution of projects aimed at the application of scientific knowledge, development and/or innovation, which add value to the company, our allies and human life.
- To provide laboratory and research services in specialized diagnostic medicine, using updated and quality processes and technology, and under the standards of Good Clinical Practices, to ensure accurate results that meet the needs of our partners and the environment.
- Disseminate research results in specialized journals and/or scientific events at national and international level.
- To support the training of highly qualified human talent in undergraduate and graduate programs related to diagnostic medicine.
