Our program includes:
- HPV Screening: We perform HPV screening tests to identify the presence of the virus in your body. HPV is a common infection that can cause genital warts and increase the risk of cervical cancer.
- Liquid-based cytology: evaluates the characteristics of cervical cells to define whether they have suspicious changes. Liquid-based is a technique that allows better visualization of the cells and improves the diagnostic yield with respect to conventional methods.
- Colposcopy: In case of positive HPV test results or abnormal changes in your cervical cytology, we perform a colposcopy. This procedure allows us to examine in greater detail, with magnifying lenses, the cervix, identify abnormal areas and take samples for biopsy if necessary.
- Biopsy: If suspicious changes are found during colposcopy, we perform a targeted biopsy of the observed lesion to obtain a tissue sample and make an accurate diagnosis. This helps us determine if there are precancerous or cancerous cells that require treatment.
- Conization: In cases where precancerous cells or early cervical lesions are detected, we may recommend conization. This surgical procedure consists of removing a portion of the affected cervix to prevent the progression of cervical cancer.
- Sexual and Reproductive Health: We offer counseling on contraception, family planning, prevention of sexually transmitted infections and other important aspects of sexual and reproductive health and satisfaction.
We want to support you every step of the way.
